Boxy Bunch Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This policy explains what information the game Boxy Bunch uses, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. The English version of this policy is the binding version. Translations are provided for convenience; if a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies.
In Short
- You do not create an account. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or location.
- Your progress and settings stay on your device. We cannot see them.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google receives some information from your device to show and measure ads. Ads are personalized only if you say yes when the game asks; until then, and if you say no, they are not personalized. On iPhone and iPad, ads are never personalized.
- If the game hits an error or closes unexpectedly, we ask whether you want to send a crash report. Nothing is sent unless you tap "Send Report".
Who We Are
Boxy Bunch is made by Kettleday Games, the trade name of Hüseyin Tuğrul Türk, an individual developer. Hüseyin Tuğrul Türk is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. You can contact us at support@kettleday.com.
Information That Stays on Your Device
The game keeps the following on your device so it can work. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else:
- your best score;
- whether you have finished the tutorial;
- your sound, music and vibration settings;
- information about your recent runs (how far they went and how long they lasted), which the game uses on your device to adjust difficulty;
- on Android, your answer to the personalized ads question (see Advertising), when you gave it, and the effective date of the policy you saw then;
- a record of game events (for example, a piece placed or a run ended) with a random identifier created on your device. This record never leaves your device.
Deleting the game deletes this information.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and is funded by ads, which are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google. When the game requests or shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game sends Google information such as:
- your IP address, which Google may use to estimate your approximate location (country or city level);
- device identifiers: on Android, the advertising ID and the app set ID; on iOS, an identifier specific to our app (the advertising identifier is not available, see below);
- information about the ads you see and interact with, and how the game performs while an ad loads or plays (for example, launch time and crashes inside the ad code).
Google uses this information to show ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud, and, where you allow it, to personalize ads. Google uses the information under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Watching a rewarded ad is always your choice. Nothing in the game depends on it.
Personalized ads only with your consent. Ads are personalized only if you agree. Until you answer, and if you say no, every ad request tells Google not to personalize the ad. Ads that are not personalized are still chosen and measured using the information listed above, for example to show ads in your language, to limit how often you see the same ad and to prevent fraud. Declining is as easy as accepting, and nothing in the game depends on your answer.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows a consent form provided by Google before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time under Privacy Options in the game's settings.
- On Android devices in Türkiye, after your first run the game asks once whether you allow personalized ads, with "Allow" and "Don't Allow". Closing the question counts as "Don't Allow". You can change your answer at any time with the Personalized Ads switch in the game's settings. If the part of this policy about advertising changes, the game asks again.
- Everywhere else, the game does not ask, and ads are not personalized.
Your choice is stored on your device.
On iPhone and iPad, ads are not personalized, whatever you choose in Google's consent form, and the game does not show its own personalized ads question.
Tracking on iOS. The game does not ask for permission to track you, so your device's advertising identifier is not available to the game or to Google. Ads on iPhone and iPad are not personalized.
Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
Crash reports help us find and fix problems. They are sent only with your permission, one report at a time:
- If the game hits an error while you play, it keeps running and shows a small card asking whether you want to send a report.
- If the game closes unexpectedly, it asks the next time you open it.
The report is sent only if you tap "Send Report". If you tap "Don't Send", the report is deleted from your device. We ask again each time, and the game works the same whichever you choose.
Reports go to Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google. A report contains the technical state of the game at the moment of the problem (a stack trace), your device model and operating system version, the game's version and build, and a random identifier created when the game is installed. This identifier is not your advertising identifier, and we do not combine it with any other information. A report does not include your name, an account, your advertising identifier, or the record of what you did in the game. Google processes crash reports on our behalf only to help us find and fix problems, and deletes them after 90 days. Crash reports are not used for advertising. Google may process a report outside your country, including in the United States, where the law may protect personal information less than the law of your country; sending a report is your choice each time.
Legal Bases
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on:
- your consent, for personalized ads, for storing and reading information on your device for advertising where the law requires consent, and for each crash report you choose to send;
- our legitimate interest in funding a free game, for showing ads that are not personalized and for preventing ad fraud.
If you are in Türkiye, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) applies to this processing. We rely on your explicit consent for personalized ads and for each crash report. For ads that are not personalized, we rely on our legitimate interest in funding a free game (Article 5(2)(f)), which does not override your rights because these ads are chosen without a profile of your interests. The information above serves as our notice under Article 10 of that law.
Everywhere else, ads are not personalized.
Who Receives Information
- Google, for advertising (AdMob) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), as described above.
- No one else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Google may process information outside your country, including in the United States, where the law may protect personal information less than the law of your country.
How Long Information Is Kept
- Information on your device: until you delete the game.
- Crash reports: deleted by Google after 90 days.
- Advertising information: kept by Google under its own retention rules (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask whether we process information about you, to access it, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that happened before), and to complain to your data protection authority. Under KVKK you also have the rights listed in its Article 11, including the right to learn whether your data is transferred abroad and to whom.
Because the game has no accounts and we do not link the information above to you, we usually cannot find information about a specific person. You can still contact us at support@kettleday.com. For information Google holds, you can also use Google's tools described at https://policies.google.com/privacy. To stop all processing described here, delete the game.
Children
Boxy Bunch is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game in a way that sent information described here, contact us and we will help.
Security
Crash reports and advertising requests are sent over encrypted connections.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version at the same address and update the effective date. If a change affects what is collected, we will also note it in the game's update notes.
